Queen Cells
QUALITY GENETICS MEANS EVERYTHING
A Quality Mated Queen Starts with Good Genetics, and at Heritage Bee Farm we begin with proven Breeders.
We’ve been raising queens here with multi-generations of experience and working with the same strong bloodlines year after year. We pick the best colonies on our own yards — the ones that build up fast, produce good brood patterns, stay calm when we work them, and bring in a solid honey crop. Additionally we use Instrumentally Inseminated Breeders from the best in the business maintaining genetic lines as pure as you can get.
Every queen cell we sell comes from those carefully chosen mother queens. We graft the young larvae and let them finish developing in strong, healthy nurse colonies right here in Florida.
These cells are the start of a solid, hardworking queen. You can expect good laying patterns, strong build-up in the spring, gentle bees, and colonies that handle real-life conditions well. They do great in backyard hives and bigger operations alike because we breed them for actual beekeeping, not just external attributes.
When you put one of our queen cells into your hive, you’re getting genetics that have proven themselves over many generations on our own apiaries — healthy, vigorous, and ready to get to work.
Simple, honest stock from Heritage Bee Farm. Good bees for good beekeepers.

Premium Florida Queen Cells for Sale — Heritage Bee Farm
When it comes to building strong, productive, and resilient honey bee colonies, nothing is more critical than the quality of your queen. At Heritage Bee Farm, located in Myakka City, Florida, we have dedicated ourselves to producing some of the finest queen cells available anywhere in the United States. Whether you are a hobbyist beekeeper managing a handful of hives or a commercial operation running thousands of colonies, our queen cells are bred, raised, and delivered with the same uncompromising commitment to genetic excellence, colony health, and beekeeping success.
What Makes a Quality Queen Cell?
Not all queen cells are created equal. The quality of a queen cell begins long before the cell is capped — it starts with the breeder queen herself. At Heritage Bee Farm, our breeder colonies are carefully selected and evaluated season after season based on a rigorous set of performance criteria including honey production, brood pattern consistency, mite tolerance, disease resistance, gentle temperament, and strong spring buildup. Only colonies that demonstrate excellence across all of these traits are used in our queen rearing program.
Our grafting process uses larvae at the optimal age — less than 24 hours old — to ensure each queen cell receives the maximum benefit of royal jelly feeding from our cell builder colonies. This attention to detail in the early stages of queen development produces virgin queens of exceptional size, vigor, and reproductive capacity. The result is a queen cell that gives your colony the strongest possible start.
Florida-Raised Queen Cells with a Genetic Advantage
Florida's unique subtropical climate gives Heritage Bee Farm a distinct advantage that few queen producers in the country can match. Our extended warm season allows us to begin queen cell production as early as February — months ahead of most producers across the United States who cannot start until April or May. This means beekeepers who order from Heritage Bee Farm have access to quality queen cells at the very start of the beekeeping season, giving colonies maximum time to build up for spring honey flows, pollination contracts, and early splits.
Our queen genetics are selected specifically for performance in the Southeast United States and Florida's challenging beekeeping environment. Our stock demonstrates strong traits for Varroa mite tolerance — one of the most pressing challenges facing beekeepers today — as well as resistance to common pathogens and pests. Colonies headed by Heritage Bee Farm queens are known for their gentle disposition, making them a pleasure to work with for beekeepers of all experience levels. Our bees build up abundantly, maintain strong brood patterns, and are well suited for both honey production and pollination services.
Queen Cells for Every Scale of Operation
At Heritage Bee Farm we understand that beekeeping operations come in every size, and our queen cell program is built to serve them all. Whether you need a handful of cells to requeen a few hives after winter losses, or you are a large commercial beekeeper needing thousands of cells to support a major splitting or requeening program, we have the production capacity and logistics experience to meet your needs reliably and on schedule.
For hobbyists and sideline beekeepers, our small quantity tiers make it easy and affordable to get started with quality genetics without committing to a large order. For commercial operations, our bulk pricing tiers are designed to make large scale requeening programs financially practical while maintaining the genetic quality your operation depends on. We regularly fulfill orders ranging from single digits to hundreds and even thousands of queen cells per season, and our production planning is designed to accommodate large advance orders with reliable delivery windows.
Our queen cells ship via UPS Next Day Air to ensure they arrive in perfect condition, viable and ready for immediate installation. A single box holds up to 230 cells, and we are able to ship double boxes carrying up to 460 cells when needed. Cells are shipped with attendant bees and cell protectors to maintain optimal temperature and viability throughout transit. All shipments are coordinated directly with you to ensure your splits, nucs, and hive preparations are ready at the time of arrival, since our cells are timed to emerge the same day they are delivered.
